Akademie für Führungskräfte
For more than 50 years, we have successfully accompanied 700,000 managers of all industries on their career and personal development path in Germany as well as all over the world. We offer a unique variety of programs and customized services to our clients with a special focus on personal skill development and leadership education. Thus, every year more than 8,500 managers and experts count on our expertness to professionally solve the leadership challenges of individuals and organizations.
After being founded in Bad Harzburg in 1956 by Professor Reinhard Höhn, the Akademie für Führungskräfte quickly became the most popular management training institute for germany’s top-leaders. The so-called ‘Harzburger Modell‘, which was developed by Reinhard Höhn formed the managerial model in Germany until the 1980‘s. Since 1978, this model came under criticism for its poor flexibility and the Akademie für Führungskräfte soon had economic problems. In 1997, Daniel F. Pinnow became CEO of Akademie für Führungskräfte. Daniel F. Pinnow introduced the systemic approach to leadership and today the Akademie für Führungskräfte is once again one of the top management institutes in Germany.
In order to explore new approaches to leadership and to adjust our model of ‘systemic leadership‘, we foster several alliances with renowned research institutes. Among others, we are cooperating with Dieter Frey, full professor for Social Psychology at the Ludwig-Maximilians-Universität, Munich, Germany and with the Helmholtz Zentrum München, Germany.
The quality management system of the Akademie für Führungskräfte is certified according DIN EN ISO 9001 through the DQS (German Society for Certification of Management Systems). International standards are set by the membership in the European Federation of Management Development (EFMD), the leading international network in the field of management development.
