Good leadership is a great topic to argue about...and this is exactly what eight experts from the fields of leadership and HR management do in this book. In discourse and objection, they get to the bottom of what „phenomenon leadership“ means – without footnotes, technical jargon or excessive prefaces.
The result is an unadorned appraisal and a „certificate of conduct“ for companies in the current times following the new economy: Do modern leadership ideas really fail when there are problems on the horizon? Or is it possible to keep up adopted attitudes even in times of crisis without going back to old patterns of behaviour? How much emotion are managers allowed to show? How can a culture of collaboration be developed? How can managers inspire their staff members and organisations for change? These are just some of the questions that are not only being asked in the book, but are also being answered in a controversial and inspring manner.
The publishers know the challenges, demands and problems managers face from different perspectives – as trainers, consultants and managers. Alexander Höhn has accompanied managers and companies through times of change since 1999 as a headcoach and manager of the Inhouse department at the Akademie für Führungskräfte (Bad Harzburg and Friedrichshafen). Daniel F. Pinnow is the CEO of the Academie für Führungskräfte since 1997 as well as a trainer and coach for senior executives. Dr. Bernhard Rosenberger is the owner of the management consultancy company Rosenberger Human Resources (Wiesbaden) since 2002. Before this, he was employed as a manager at Hubert Burda Media and as a consultant at McKinsey & Company.
